James A Peden is not quite the average solo artist, from the first beat and vocal line you will be captured by the high energy and emotion he brings to his music.

This Melbourne based, New Zealand born artist, brings you a mixture of Modern Acoustic, Electro Rock and Worship, with an intelligent blending of the sounds of the 80s, pop rock, funk and guitar/keyboard driven rock.

James started playing in church bands and leading worship, from there he teamed up with Producer Daniel Kelaart from “Grafete Records” to develop song ideas which became his debut EP release “ONE”. James’ first radio single, “Tired”, hit the radio in Australia and reached 28 in the top 30 TRAA (The Rock Around Australia) Charts.

In November 2006 James teamed up with drummer Dylan Redman and have been working together since, performing regularly at Churches, Youth Groups, hotels, outreach events and concerts. Although James composes and writes all his music he prefers to perform with a band and work together as a collaborative team with a variety of musicians.

It would be easy to compare James’ sound to groups such as DC Talk (Kevin Max), Newsboys, U2, and Mutemath, yet there is a sense of clear originality which shines through in his music to surpass any clear comparison to any current or past artist.

"My mission is to create a new experience through music. A sound that people haven't discovered before as well as bringing them to the realisation of the real truth in life".

Now at 22, James is pursuing his music as a full time endeavour, to take his music out to as many people as he can, within Australia as well as overseas through the assistance of a supportive record label and professional management.
