Born in 1985 in Lismore, near Byron Bay N.S.W Australia, Candice Casagrande (can-dis casa-gran-dee) was a water-baby and a poet from a young
age. She was given a guitar at age thirteen and from then came the
birth of songs that have grown to express revelation, instil hope, and
reflect on the embedded truth in life and love.
In 2007 alone Candice performed in local high schools and was
then approached by Youth Alive NSW to perform at ‘Big Exoday 2007’. The
Blackstump music festival sought after her talent in October ‘07, and
now Easterfest ‘08 (Australian Gospel music festival) will be the next
festival to showcase her raw, down-to-earth talent..../C./c
After
getting alongside teenage girls in the local area dealing with issues
of self harm, suicide and eating disorders, Candice had no hesitation
in supporting Mercy Ministries when it came time to release her debut
EP “Fearless Heart” (November 2006), donating $2 from every CD sold.
Since then her heart for social justice has driven her to tour through
Sydney and Melbourne in July 2007, where she had the opportunity to
share her music at Mercy Ministries in Sydney. "I really want women,
and those that have been looked down on, to know their worth and
value".
